We are the premier all female accounting firm in Minnesota.

Ms. Jane is an accounting collaborative that is connected nationwide with cannabis accountants, tax preparers, and other professionals to ensure we are up to speed on the latest cannabis news and laws.   Whether you are in marijuana or CBD/Hemp, an ancillary, cultivator, dispensary, manufacturer, or somewhere in between, we’ve got you covered.

Are you feeling like your accountant doesn’t understand the scope of your business?  We recognize the struggles and lack of information in the cannabis space. We understand that accounting is the backbone of a business and taxes can make or break a company. A lot of accountants only focus on the past. We are forward focused that also looks back to ensure we are on the right path to success for you and your business. Helping cannabis businesses succeed is our passion.

We are working to break the grass ceiling through diversity, equity, and inclusion. Let us help you break the grass ceiling.

Social Justice and DEI

As states legalize cannabis and we inch closer to federalization, this is not only an opportunity, but an obligation to uplift the underrepresented communities that have been damaged by cannabis prohibition.  It’s a well-known fact that BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color)  communities have been specifically targeted by the war on drugs and have been for years.  This is apparent by the disproportionate number of arrests and incarceration rates.  Cannabis is a multi-billion industry in the US, while the majority of cannabis license holders are Caucasian males.  Meanwhile, Black Americans are six times more likely to be arrested for nonviolent cannabis offenses.  Currently, many are serving life sentences in prison for minor nonviolent marijuana offenses.  Reparative justice is not only needed, but access to funding, education, networks, and alliances are also needed in the cannabis space.  According to the Marijuana Business Daily in 2017, only 4% of cannabis dispensaries and owners consisted of African Americans, and women of color made up just over 5% of senior roles. We need to ensure BIPOC entrepreneurs in cannabis not only get a seat at the table but are also successful.

Ms. Jane Accounting is, has, and always will be in strong support of LGBTQ+ people and women in business.  The LGBTQ+ community played a major role in the legalization of marijuana, and both are underrepresented in this industry.  We’re looking to change that. We will uplift our fellow women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs in cannabis.
